# DAO Member

A DAO Member is someone that holds staked :mushroom:[FUNG Token](/tokenomics/fung-token.md). These members can use $veFUNG to do the following:

* Fees - earned protocol fees are distributed to $veFUNG holders
* :classical\_building:[Governance](/governance/governance.md) - $veFUNG holders can vote for governance proposals
